The
1984 Tournament
All-Tournament Team
Andre McKoy, Wisconsin-Whitewater
Mark Linde, Wisconsin-Whitewater
James Gist, Upsala
Dan Trant, Clark
David Hathaway, DePauw
Wisconsin-Whitewater set an NCAA Division III
championship scoring record with a 103-87 victory over Clark (Mass.).
The Warhawks made their second consecutive Division III final four
appearance. Whitewater's Andre McKoy, named the tournament's Most
Outstanding Player, set records for the most points and most free
throws in a five-game series. Wisconsin-Whitewater survived a
triple-overtime contest in its regional championship game, just as
Scranton had done in 1983 on its way to a national title. For the
Warhawks, St. Norbert provided the scare taking Wisconsin-Whitewater
to three extra periods before surrendering 87-84.
