Roanoke Tabbed Favorite in ODAC Men’s Lacrosse

 

SALEM, VA – In a vote take prior to the start of the 2005 season, Roanoke College was tabbed as the favorite by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men’s lacrosse coaches.  


The Maroons earned three first-place votes and a total of 45 points.  RC went 10-5 overall last season and went 4-2 in the league.  The Maroons advanced to the ODAC championship game before falling to Washington and Lee.

 

The Generals received three first-place votes and 42 points to earn the second slot in the poll.  Washington and Lee earned its eighth ODAC championship a season ago.

Hampden-Sydney garnered the final first-place vote and 37 points to find itself in the third spot in the poll.

 

The Tigers were followed by Lynchburg (29 points), Randolph-Macon (18 points), Virginia Wesleyan (18 points) and Guilford (7points).
