Tops ODAC Women’s Basketball Tournament Field

Play Begins at 12:30pm Thursday Afternoon
The Bridgewater Eagles are the tournament’s #2
seed following a solid 2005-06 conference campaign which saw BC post an 18-2
mark. The Eagles hold the distinction of being the only conference team to
defeat Randolph-Macon this season with a 83-81 double overtime decision on
January 3rd. Head Coach Jean Willi uses a solid line-up led by guards Katy Herr
and Marsha Kinder. BC’s first round opponent is
Virginia Wesleyan finds itself with the
tournament’s third seed. The Marlins posted a 14-6 conference record, which
marks the school record for ODAC victories in the regular season with 14. Wesleyan starts the tournament with a first
round match-up with #6 Roanoke – a team it defeated twice in the regular
season.
Eastern Mennonite, the 2004 conference champion,
rounds out the top four seeds followed by
